Riya & Anthony. The golden Bangalore sunlight streamed through the mandap as Riya adjusted her pearl-embroidered veil, her white gown pooling around her like spilled moonlight. Anthony stood frozen for a heartbeat when he first saw her, his black suit sharp against the riot of red bridesmaids’ silks – that unguarded moment is why I love being a wedding photographer. Throughout their April wedding, I chased the authentic: the tremor in their clasped hands during the Christian vows, the way Riya’s dupatta fluttered in the breeze during portraits, Anthony wiping mascara streaks from his cheeks after the father-daughter dance. These aren’t just photographs; they’re heirlooms – the first kiss as husband and wife captured in perfect backlight, the intricate mehndi patterns preserved in macro detail, the candid chaos of the sangeet that makes your breath catch. Because twenty years from now, they shouldn’t just remember their wedding day – they should feel it all over again.
Riya & Anthony
30 April 2024

The morning of April 30, 2023, carried a soft golden glow as I arrived at the venue in Bangalore, my camera ready to capture every fleeting moment of Riya and Anthony’s wedding. There’s something magical about a bride’s final moments before she steps into a new chapter—Riya, radiant in her pristine white gown, her delicate lace veil cascading behind her, was the very picture of elegance. The way the light caught the intricate beadwork on her dress was a photographer’s dream, and I made sure to frame every detail—her nervous smile, the way her hands trembled slightly as she adjusted her bouquet.
Anthony, ever the dashing groom, stood tall in his sharp black suit, his eyes lighting up the moment he saw Riya. The contrast between his dark attire and her flowing white gown created a striking visual—perfect for those timeless black-and-white edits. The bridesmaids, dressed in bold red dresses, added a vibrant pop of color to every shot, their laughter and joyful tears making for some of the most candid, emotional frames.
The ceremony was an intimate blend of traditions and modern romance. The exchange of vows had everyone reaching for tissues, and I made sure to zoom in on the way Anthony’s fingers gently brushed Riya’s as they slid the rings on—those micro-expressions tell the real story. The natural light during the golden hour made for breathtaking portraits, the warm hues complementing their love perfectly.
From the stolen glances during the reception to the wild dance floor moments, every shot was a testament to their chemistry. As a wedding photographer, my goal was to freeze time—not just with posed portraits but with raw, unscripted emotions. The way Riya threw her head back laughing during the speeches, the way Anthony pulled her close during their first dance—these are the frames that will hang on their walls for decades.
Riya and Anthony’s wedding wasn’t just an event; it was a love story told through stolen kisses, whispered promises, and the quiet moments in between. And as their photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful narrative to capture.
