Some moments are too real to be staged. Like the way Mohit couldn’t stop grinning when Ayushi walked in for the Sangeet. Or how their families turned the Haldi into a joyful, turmeric-smeared mess. And that quiet second during the wedding when they forgot everyone else was watching.
This isn’t just wedding photography. It’s the kind of photos that’ll make you laugh when you’re 80 and still remind you how your heart skipped a beat. No stiff poses. No fake smiles. Just the beautiful, imperfect, unforgettable story of two people who found their person.
Because at the end of the day, these aren’t pictures of a wedding – they’re pictures of love. The real kind.
Ayushi & Mohit
21 January 2025

You know that feeling when you’re completely at ease with someone? That’s what these photos capture.
Among Bangalore’s lush greenery, Ayushi and Mohit simply existed together – no directions needed. The way she automatically leaned into him when the breeze picked up. How he made her laugh until she snorted, then loved her even more for it. Those quiet moments between takes when they forgot the camera was even there.
This wasn’t about posing under perfect trees or chasing golden hour light. It was about catching the real stuff; the comfort of walking together without speaking, the silly faces they make when no one’s watching, that unshakable connection that needs no filter.
The best Sangeet moments aren’t the ones we plan – they’re the ones that happen when no one’s performing. Like how Mohit’s eyes crinkled when Ayushi missed a step but kept dancing anyway. The way your cousins cheered louder for the mess-ups than the perfect moves. That unplanned minute when the aunts took over the dance floor and suddenly, everyone remembered why we do this – not for the photos, but for the feeling.
Through my lens, I didn’t just see choreography – I saw inside jokes unfolding in real time, siblings conspiring to embarrass each other, and that raw, unfiltered joy that happens when families forget to be camera-ready. These aren’t staged shots. They’re the real, messy, beautiful heartbeat of your Sangeet – the moments you’ll want to remember most.
Because years from now, you won’t care about the perfect formations. You’ll smile at the memories between the moves.
As a photographer, Haldi ceremonies are my favorite to document—not for the posed turmeric shots, but for the unscripted moments in between. Ayushi’s uncontrollable giggles when the first splash of haldi hit her nose. Mohit trying (and failing) to maintain a serious face as his cousins smeared yellow across his cheeks. The way their mothers’ hands lingered just a second longer while applying the paste—that silent exchange of blessings no words could capture.
What makes these images special isn’t the golden glow of turmeric, but the raw, imperfect joy it reveals. The flower petals stuck to haldi-streaked arms. The half-hug Ayushi gave her sister between applications. That split second when Mohit wiped a smudge off Ayushi’s forehead and they forgot anyone else was there.
This is why I love shooting Haldi—it’s not about the ceremony, but the childhood friends who show up with mischievous grins, the aunts who can’t resist cheek-pinching even during sacred rituals, and the way two people somehow grow even more beautiful when covered in messy, yellow love.
